General Grade Membrane Cartridges are economical and will provide very good removal of organisms in 0.2-micron, 0.45-micron and 0.65-micron. Up to a 4 log (99.99%) reduction is achieved. General Grade Membranes are sometimes uses as a prefilter in the 0.65 and 1.0-micron range for beverages that may have a heavy bioburden.
Beverage Grade Membrane Cartridges are available in the same micron ratings as General Grade, however, the membrane has a 6-log (99.9999%) in organism removal at the stated micron ratings. It is the choice for many wineries when critical final membrane filtration is required.
All are rinsed and tested according to grade specifications.
