Stacked disc cartridges, also called lenticular filters provide excellent clarification performance for haze related fermentation as well as reliable removal of particles and microorganisms.
Prefiltration media and final clarification media are available as the primary filtering to take the burden off of final membrane filtration. Final filtration, considered sterile with a 0.45-micron pleated membrane, is absolute rated and typically performs best when either stacked disc or filter pads are used beforehand.
Winefiltercity offers a variety of media for most any application. We offer filter media with DE (diatomaceous earth) and a premium version which is mineral free.
The Standard Beco media has DE and contains a positive charge (zeta potential) to help with filtration.
